When Stuart Kaufmann decided to buy a laundromat, he wasn’t thinking oh boy here’s a place I can keep clean. Stuart would keep any place he ran not just clean but crazy clean. It’s his nature. Stuart is a seasoned businessman who truly appreciates the importance of this type of “essential” business and is very aware that what is most important is providing his staff and customers with a relationship that they can both trust and value. Therefore, when hiring people, he chose those who have the same values he does: Be there to answer questions, understand the needs of the customers and keep the cleanest facility.

His staff is instructed in providing hospitable level customer service, wet cleaning, dry cleaning, and stain removal which you probably know isn’t common. He has relied on this philosophy for 20 years in all his facilities, each of which received industry acclaim for quality and beauty.

A Different Kind of Laundromat

Different by installing the best equipment, buying the finest cleaners and detergents, and making sure his water temps are hot enough, which really isn’t as common as it should be. This includes the air treatment system installed to specifically to kill covid. Village takes pride in offering all cleaning-related service for just about all types of textiles, and then stands behind all these services. It costs more and many owners don’t think it’s necessary. Stuart does.

We Operate As A “Village”

At Village we truly believe the saying “It takes a Village”. Our customers know and have a relationship with Stuart and the dedicated customer service staff. All of our machines are cleaned frequently and our floors are clean enough to sit on (but we do have chairs).

The environment is enhanced with literally dozens of beautiful plants that add to the air quality and atmosphere which is deemed important as laundry can be a time consuming task. Music and TVs provide entertainment and refreshments (like ice cream) are always available.

If we’re clean enough for the military we’re clean enough for you

The result and the proof of all of these claims is that Village Laundromats is the only facility in the Bergen County area recommended by northern NJ’s regional hospitals and staff and the U.S. Military, Army, and National Guard during the Pandemic, all unsolicited.

Who Else Thinks So?

Our customers think so! And here’s what a few of them say.

The place is very nice, clean, excellent service, they give away bags, hooks, they guide you, they are helpful, but there are clients like the lady, LESLIE LÓPEZ. That he takes over the machines and treats the costumers and employees badly. I witness that an employee asked him in a good manner about the stopped machines with dry clothes, and some customers with wet clothes and treated the employee badly, she was rude, and The worst thing he did in front of his children, what an example he sets. That lady is a snake, you can’t talk to her, she wants them to wait for her to finish off all her clothes.

In town for a drum corps show…my hotel didn’t have a self-serve laundry facility. So we looked on Yelp and found this place. The reviews said it was clean, so gave it a try. This is the nicest self-serve laundry I’ve ever been in!! Clean! Lots of machines, lots of folding tables, lots of carts. Glad I checked Yelp, would have never even known this place was close!!

9:00 PM Monday this is my third time here not only is this place slightly cheaper than the laundromat I was using it’s a nicer atmosphere. Plenty of parking lit up nicely clean polite worker beautiful plants all over the place a step above. I also noticed that the salad oil stains in my black T-shirts are not there, so whatever they’re doing different and my laundry. Most importantly, my work uniform shirts are folded so tightly they look like they’ve been ironed to me. This place gets five stars. * * * * *

Laury was the best. She helped me get my dry cleaning done in a little over 24 hours. I showed up at 9 pm on a Wednesday and it was ready by Friday morning. AMAZING! I needed the items for a special event, so this place really came in clutch. Great customer service and my dry-cleaned items were well-cleaned. Would recommend and will be returning here for their services.
